Architect, William Livingston started Resource Studios in 1993 when his client of 5 years, Society Bank, asked for facility management software in lieu of an as-built roll of drawings for their new 55 story headquarters building. His solution was RSI/FM 1.0 a Computer Aided Facility Management standalone CAD application that automated the calculation of the cost of space to each business unit by calculating the actual space used by each department and prorating total leased space via an automated report.
RSI/FM has matured over the years to a web based, dynamically updated, graphic relational database that includes a facility web site, space and stacking plans, text reports, dashboard graphics, and update forms for Internet system maintenance of SPACE, STAFF, ASSETS, LEASES and PROJECTS. RSI/FM is the most advanced Facility Management system of its kind and now at a fraction of the original cost. |
